The Opening Event: One Day. 36 Plays.
Saturday, October 24 | 11 am–11 pm
The Flynn, Burlington, Vermont | Free
Women+ on the Edge of Democracy began at the Flynn. On October 24, the project returns to its point of origin for its most expansive gathering: the only event in the nationwide series where all 36 commissioned plays and monologues will be performed together in a single day.
The experience is designed to build across the day, as each new voice adds to, challenges, or complicates what came before. Come for one play, stay for several, or take in the full marathon from the first voice to the last.
Join the Project
You do not need a theatre, a stage, or a large budget to take part. Host a reading, performance, class, or conversation between October 23 and November 3, 2026. Choose one play, several plays, or the full anthology, and shape the event around the people and place you are bringing together.
