Else Went’s works include Drama Desk Special Award–winning Initiative, which premiered at the Public Theater; Degenerates, premiering at Playwrights Horizons in fall 2026; and An Oxford Man, recipient of a special commendation from the Susan Smith Blackburn Awards. Her work has also been developed through writing groups at The Public Theater, Ars Nova, Playwrights Realm, WP Theater, residencies with MacDowell, Stillwright, Queer Art Mentorship, and commissions from MTC Sloane, South Coast Rep, Breaking the Binary, and Atlantic Theater Company.
